Someone Please Help? - can anyone know how to see blue films

You know, if you watch a movie or video on your computer, usually for me was to have AVI. Well, I have my laptop fixed and cleaned, so I lost everything, but before I had my RealPlayer video window that the icon is not blue R, but as a "black box" to him and had a picture of the film to see and then I get this?
It also helps if I want to record videos.
If someone can help I would be grateful.
